Hi there, I'm on the hunt for a top notch oil as it's now proper salad season. 5L drum.

Anyone have good experiences with picking up online or direct?

    Cheers!

I haven't tried them but they are supposed to be good. Be prepared to pay for good olive oil but not all expensive oils are good. I know they are from the region that produces smaller qualities of very good oil and they are supposed to cold press within hours which is very important.

Would be interested in a group buy to save on shipping...

There's a healthfood store in Greystones near me who have their own olive farm in Tarragona.

Can't say I've tried it myself, and I don't know if they do anything bigger than the standard bottles either.

This competition is supposed to be the most prestigious for olive oils. There are award wining oils from loads of countries (also the one in link in my previous post) and conveniently most are also popular holiday destinations. So it's great to pick some stuff on holidays but just pay a bit of attention because complete dross can be nicely packaged and sold to tourists as artisan product.
