Since I became interested in MMA I've lost interest in soccer which I was a big fan of most of my life. This is the first European Championship where I don't care too much about apart from the Ireland matches. The time I would spend looking up the transfer news I now spend looking up mma news. Not putting soccer down I personally just dont find it as interesting the fact Arsenal's golden era is over being a huge fan may also have something to do with it.

Just wondering was it the same for ye? What was your favorite sport before you started watching MMA and do you still follow it as much?

Used to be a if fan of F1 ( Schumacher era) until I started watching UFC on bravo. Kinda around the same time as Schumacher retired. But then again I always had a huge interest in martial arts anyway so it was an easy transition

I love a lot of sports, interest has waned only in F1 and snooker, maybe darts too.

I still love soccer, boxing, american football etc

    Lover of most big sports.

My interest in MMA (specifically UFC) wains over time though and I go through patches of addiction for it.

From about 2008-2012 I was able to name almost every fight on every event if somebody asked me off the top-of-my-head, now I usually don't know more than two or three fights on the main cards.

I used to train in Ju Jitsu and before that Karate and Judo, was never really into sport before that. K-1 & Pride FC fights were the first sporting events that I used to actually watch. I hated UFC up until a couple of years ago.

Now I love rugby union, soccer & MMA. I think I did it backwards

I have an interest in many sports. Soccer, MMA, American Football, Boxing, GAA... to name but a few.

My interest in these sports don't necessarily wane but my interest in sports (like other hobbies) rotate for top position.

Right now, I'm not sure what my top interest is right now. Still adjusting to post-college life. But what I do know is that my interest in MMA remains relatively high.

That being said, I wouldn't spend too much time browsing various MMA sites for news like I would have before.

I'll watch nearly every UFC event but recently I've just stopped catching up with Bellator/ONE FC/TUF etc mainly just because it sometimes feels like a chore to do so.

Come back to me in a few months and I'll be able to tell you about every fight on every card from the main promotions.

I think since MMA has gotten mainstream attention here, I just feel overwhelmed with the coverage and it just doesn't excite me for whatever reason.

Joe.ie have absolutely ruined any meaningful MMA coverage. Despite unfollowing them they somehow slip through the cracks and I just hate the shíte they post. They're not the only ones in fairness but they're certainly the most prominent in that regard.

Soccer man since I was a sprog, but the rise in spoofing/diving/feigning injury in soccer combined with my love of MMA has left footy firmly in second place.

I got into mma through bjj and to be honest it's the Bjj aspects that I most enjoy, because it's seeing the stuff I train week in, week out applied to a real fight scenario.

I still train Bjj several times per week and have no interest in ever training striking, just not for me, so I've no interest on ever competing in mma.

I am more of a fan of athletes than I am teams. There are so many mixed martial artists you would watch the UFC for. Soccer for me anyways had so many a few years back but in my opinion is lacking these days.
