NCT airbag question!

I posted another thread about a 1999 Opel Corsa.
To the best of my knowledge the car was originally fitted with a drivers airbag. However the airbag/steering wheel has being removed and replaced with a steering wheel similar to the picture attached.
Would this pass an NCT or would you need an airbag to be fitted?

If there's no airbags and no airbag light then I can't see how this could fail.

No there isn't a passenger airbag.
Somebody told me before that all dash warning lights had to be working and if they didn't it would fail!

If the airbag was there and the light didn't work it would be a problem.
with the car being older youll probably get away with it.

A 99 corsa would have originally come with a drivers airbag and should have an airbag light so i would be of the opinion it would be a fail but wouldnt put money on it.

The NCT tester wouldn't necessarily have an encyclopaedic knowledge of what cars do and don't have airbags though. Far as I know they only go on what they see.

Because i worked on opel and 98 on corsa b came with drivers airbags.
Have a look on done deal and see how many corsa b you can find without an airbag.

Hi OP here.
I researched this a few years ago and again now and I think I found one other car without a drivers airbag. I can't remember the condition of the car tough.

My dad has 00 corsa b, and it doesn't have an airbag and never had one.

Thanks for that. There ight have being a few low spec Corsa's from 1999/2000 without drivers airbags then.

I dont ever recall seeing one with no airbag but its possible they brought out a low spec version.
