    Hi everyone

after taking some quotes on building porch which seems high, i thought . I will build part . I am pretty handy(i think so).

porch size 1.92 mt x 1.35 mt it has planning permission. from lat year

    so plan is
    1. Dig and build foundation by my self.
    2. get block layer an get walls done .
3.insulate floor and pour concrete by my self.
    4. get windows and door installed by company
    5. get roofer to install hip roof
    6. Insulate wall inside by my self
    7. get plaster for plastering
    8. paint my self
    9. electrician to come before insulation for lights in ceiling

so for start is it achievable.?
also is this plan feasible to save money?
Am i doing the steps in right order?

Any info will be help full.

    thanks

Your planning to do it yourself but need the help of 5 contractors.
Probably less hassle getting some to do it all for you, and see if you provide him with your labour help with cost reduction

+1 on the above; it's a small porch but I'd love to know what kind of quotes you were getting for the job. If you could find a small builder that was doing a job nearby you might do better on price- if he could do your porch in tandem with a bigger job. The problem with small jobs like these is that even though the material quantities are small, they still have to be delivered, various trades have to come and go etc. Not worth a builder's time coming and going if the profit margin is small on an already small job.
