Shuttered Spiral Stairs

Has anyone any recommendations for specialists in Spiral Stairs?

I think I'll need them poured in-situ as the house is pre-built with roof on, etc.

I've looked at other options: Metal, Wood, Re-conditioned, etc; but I think the concrete may work out the cheapest and perhaps best option. But interested in the experience of others. I'm pretty tight for space, so spiral is the most workable solution. Also - it's mainly for my own use to a home office so won't be a main thorough fare.

    Thanks,
    Ted.

A concrete spiral stairs will set you back at least 2.5k then on top of that cladding the steps, handrails. Anywhere north of 6k.
There's a few companies doing metal spiral stair kits a lot cheap than a concrete stairs

    Thanks Bonzo Delaney,

I agree about the 2.5K - but the way the stairs will be laid out, I may not need much of a hand rail and I was just going to tile or carpet the steps.

I agree that I may get something cheaper, but I'm also conscious of my own time. I looked at 2nd hand stairs and discounted them as there would be too much work in doctoring them to fit. Any of the kits I seen were up at over 2K, and didn't look great to be honest. And I would still have to fit after that.

Saying that - have you any recommendations for the kits and I will have an other look?

To be honest Ted I've had a bit of a think about it and it was a bit silly of me to suggest a cost without any sizes to hand if it's as tight as you suggest the steel alone for the shutter could be about 2 k welded of a central spine.
Can't really advertise companies here but Google is your friend re th stair kits
Would a joinery not manufacture a stairs to suit the space, ive fitted some in areas that you wouldn't swing a kitten in for various attic conversion jobs
Would really need dimensions to have any idea at all.

Is there a foundation in place to support a concrete one?

    for this

2.5 k wont even get you started!! [I know BD withdrew the "quote" so this is not directed at him]
Concrete spiral stairs cast in-situ in a finished house, the mind boggles.

If this to a 3rd floor with habitable space, then you need to meet the fire regs.

Yeah I don't know what I was thinking with that "quote" I'd something entirely different in my head
For some real world prices last month I finished off a curved cut string domestic stairs double handrail oak and 35 mm oak tapered treads 12 mm mdf risers with a curved landing area red deal spindles and base rail
    Concrete shutter and pour 4500€
    Clad stairs and finishing 9800€

So a concrete set up would be pricy enough.

    Thanks all for the feedback.

Just to clarify - the house is a bungalow and the stairs is running to a converted attic. I want to place them in a old hotpress/room just off the hallway, which is basically 1.36M wide by 1.85M deep. The FFH to FFH is 2.6M.

I'm really only looking for the shutter and pour. Cladding, rails, etc can wait till later. Foundations wise, the room has an existing solid concrete floor (approx. 150mm) on top of compacted earth.

I think I know what the answer would be, but would this be doable as a DIY job?

Again, its for a work from home office, so will mainly be myself using it.

Wouldn't something like this work it'll fit in to a 1.3m diameter opening no problem and far less than 2500€ finished.

Thanks Bonzo, I'll look into it so and contact Spireco.

I only looked at one or two modular kits originally online - and remember thinking they seemed expensive for what I was getting. But will look into it again.
