Flight landed safely. It's being reported here that one engine was shut down due to an oil leak. Runway inspection requested after landing.

    The dreaded 3 engine approach.

    Reminds me of this:
A military pilot called for a priority landing because his single-engine jet fighter was running "a bit peaked." Air Traffic Control told the fighter pilot that he was number two, behind a B-52 that had one engine shut down. "Ah," the fighter pilot remarked, "The dreaded seven-engine approach."
    :D

Some are of the opinion that the RJ has no engines and four APU's....

Delighted to see that the DAA handled this very well. Cutting the IAA ATC folks out of the loop seems to have been worth while. Got things done very efficiently.

""Flight 112 was in contact with the Dublin Airport Authority before its arrival.

A spokesperson from the DAA told the Independent that the flight was given precedence on its approach to the airport.""

Cityjet seem to be having very bad luck with their RJ85s. How many engines have blown up recently and how many have gone tech? And with their Superjets not LCY certified how are they going to continue to run the DUB-LCY route (and others) with planes that are spending so much time tech?

    "blown up "?
    That's a slight exaggeration.
