Alcohol and epilepsy

    Firstly I hope this is the right place to post , about 2 months ago I was diagnosed with epilepsy and mollerats meningitis.

    How do you deal with alcohol and epilepsy, is it a matter of cutting out alcohol altogether. I only drink socially, at weddings and other get togethers. I don't think cutting out completely but I would like the option of being able to have a pint now and again.

    To be honest your doctor is the one to ask. It's very different from person to person, and any medications need to be factored in so I'm afraid we can't give advice here..
