Whats with some people? There is an ugly fence built to the back of one of the houses in the Quarryvale housing estate at the entrance to the Liffey Valley shopping centre about 2.4 meters high made of old scrap plywood sheets that looks absolutely horrible.

Contrast this with the action taken by a council with real powers in the following link:-

This abomination has been in place for at least 4-5 weeks with no sign of removal or action being taken. Liffey Valley is bad enough with a certain cultural minority in place right at the exit to the N4 westbound but this new edition to the "landscape" takes the biscuit.

5 yrs ago I did an interview in that nearby Hotel for a job with a multinational company and the view from the hired out conference room was directly into the squalour and filth of the favella of Liffey Valley.....this in the 10th richest per capita country in the world at that time. Can the council not do something to rehouse these people in a more orderly fashion? At least in recent months the rubbish and scrap has been almost completely removed from what was there 5 yrs ago.

What did the Council say when you reported it to them?
