Seller had stated mileage of 18k miles and from the check I could see it was MOT'd in January with 18,900 on the clock. So I asked for the exact mileage…

Hi all,
I've come across a car for sale on Done Deal and exchanged a few messages with the seller. As the car is a UK import I done a check on it and it all came back ok. Seller had stated mileage of 18k miles and from the check I could see it was MOT'd in January with 18,900 on the clock. So I asked for the exact mileage reading to which they stated

"the Cars keys were list so had to get lockset, which is dash immobiliser etc. Original dash had 22000, dash in it now shows 7500 which I have to get brought back up."

Does this make sense to anyone ? Could it be legit and worth making the trip to view or should I run a mile ??
