I am looking to move a pension policy between companies.

I have been asked to provide a Birth Cert, and told that my passport is unacceptable ....

I will contact the company directly about this, broker was doing it previously.

Any reason why the above is the case ? seems strange ...

Any reason why? If your passport states the date, why is this not sufficent ?

afaik Insurance companies and govt departments always seek birth certs,

Them is their rules. No point in discussing it here so I have closed the thread.

    Thanks for posting
