    Hi all,

I'm looking for a front fork with 1 1/8" threadless steerer. alu, steel or carbon doesn't really matter as long as it's cheap! to take a standard road bike wheel and with a mount for a caliper brake.

cosmetic condition isn't really important as I'm going to spray it - the longer the steerer the better, but it's also not really that important as It's going to end up pretty short anyway.

anyone got something lying around in the shed?

I'm in Galway - but am often in Dublin

    thanks

    Yes.
A vitus carbon fork with aluminium steerer 247mm long and aluminium dropouts. I recovered this (from an aluminium Vitus bike) at the dump.
If you are in Dublin City it can be yours for €15.

Brilliant! I'll actually be in Dublin on Saturday afternoon. As long as it's the right diameter steerer I'll definitely take it off you - PM me your details so we can arrange if you're around saturday
