    Hi,

About to book flights to Koh Samui. BA Premium Economy is roughly the same price as Emirates economy. Which is better? I hear it varies and also by plane.

BA Premium by a long way. Extra leg room being the main advantage.

Premium Economy: bigger, wider, more comfortable seats. More leg room. Slightly better food IIRC.

Cheers!! Also 777 or A380? The 777 leaves Dublin earlier, 11.15: Dub-LHR-BKK-USM whereas the A380 leaves slightly later and is slightly more expensive, 15.20: Dub-LHR-SIN-USM.

A380 routes through Singapore as opposed to Bangkok and we'll arrive at 18.00 the following evening as opposed to 14.00 with the 777 route.

Just curious if Premium Economy on the A380 was leagues above the 777?

    Thanks again.

World Traveller Plus (BA name for Premium Economy) passengers receive a Club World ie business class meal service on BA. I haven't been in WTP or WT for a while but the Club World food should be a world apart. Taken together with 7 inches more leg room, likely a much wider seat and 1 longhaul sector as opposed to 2 medium haul sectors should tip the balance although YMMV.

There are some minor differences, depending on the type of 777. A380's all have the latest seats/entertainment systems etc.

Cheers for the replies! Just booked Premium Economy with BA. We're not going until Aug 3rd. What are the chances of Business Class being reduced in the days leading up to departure? I imagine it's highly unlikely but if B Class wasn't full, would they sell upgrades at a good price? Does this happen?

WTP can be a good cabin choice for operational upgrade opportunities. If WT is oversold, WTP is so small that it often forces other upgrades. Unfortunately as you are starting in DUB you will not be a offered a POUG (proactive offer of upgrade) as for operational reasons, although available in advance of the flight, are restricted AFAIK to London originating customers on the outbound.

Currently booking our seats for the Heathrow/Bangkok, Bangkok/Heathrow leg. I've checked Seat Guru and it's saying row 21 is the best (see attached). I was thinking window and aisle of row 22? Any recommendations? I've read that the seats in row 21 are narrower but they also have extra leg room.

Which flight are you on? I don't think BA has first class on BKK anymore meaning that the seat plan you have linked to is not the correct one. Thebasource.com is generally the best site for BA seat plans as seatguru's os often out dated. WTP will likely start at row 12 on your 772 and this is a bulkhead seat. The seats will be narrower as the TV and seat trays will be in the armrests. There may be more legroom depending on the placement of the bulkhead but there will also likely be bassinet (bay cot positions) and you will ahve to store everything for take off and landing.

    Hi again,

Just a quick one. We booked our seats - 13J and 13K on the way out from LHR-BKK and then 13A and 13B on the return leg.

Does anyone know if BA009 is the 777-200 or 300? Curious if our plane has the refurbished interior or the old one.

Also, with regards to Business Class, it makes sense that the passengers checking in at LHR would have priority for this. Just wondering though, we'll be flying from DUB-LHR with BA as well. Would this increase our chances?
