Need confirmation on a build

I am building a PC for a mate and just had a few questions before I buy, I plan on pairing the build below with an zotac 780 amp edition will there be enough power out of that PSU? pcpart picker reckons it use around 390w. Would I be better off putting windows on the PC and buying key later off G2A. I have seen the keys listed cheap enough. Thanks in advance

Think he's more worried about the 780 being too power hungry for 500 w.

You may get away with it. Personally I don't like to cut it so fine. I'd prefer a 550 min.

Can also get windows keys on adverts.

I found a cheaper corsair model with 550W what do you reckon?

550w is loads yeah.

I've used Mind factory once or twice no bother, get the case separately

Skylake requires DDR3L or DDR4 RAM. I assume that motherboard only supports the former.

So just to confirm here is the updated list (I'll check amazon for the case) and windows on adverts, I was able to fit a 6500 into the build with the alterations, I know an SSD would probably be better but he can get one later down the road. Look good?

Looks good to me (after checking the RAM).

I'd still recommend the SSD over the 6500, there's pretty much no difference between the i5s.

Beware of Product Keys sold separately

With the exception of Product Key Cards (PKC’s) distributed with COA’s, Microsoft does not distribute products keys as standalone products. If you see a listing on an auction site, online classified ad, or other online page advertising product keys for sale, it’s a good indication that the keys are likely stolen or counterfeit. If you were to purchase and use a stolen or counterfeit product key to activate Windows installed on your PC, the key may not work for activation, may already be in use on another PC, or it might be blocked from use later by Microsoft when the key is reported stolen. The best way to get everything you expect up front is to buy genuine Microsoft software preinstalled on a new PC or genuine Microsoft software from an authorized reseller.

Or do what I did: install Win10 and hold off on activation :pac:
