    Hi all,

I've a Mini Countyman One D which has a very minor dent on the front right quarter over the wheel arch. It looks like someone pushed down on the bodywork with something like a baseball bat or let something heavy fall on it. There's no sign of a scratch or break in the paintwork.

I'm guessing one of the Paintless Dent Removal services would do the trick but I haven't used them before and don't know if they really do as good a job as they project in their marketing.

I'm based in Sandyford/Stillorgan area so would appreciate a steer on how best to correct this dent and any recommendations on who I should go to to get it done.

    Cheers in advance.

Dent Pro are in the Sandyford Ind Est. Id drop by and get them to assess it, or if you are a bit busy they might be able to give you an idea via email.

My wife's Mini Cooper had a similar dent in a similar location. This is an '07 model so I didn't want to spend any decent money repairing it. One day i thought I'd have a go myself at pulling it out. I use the suction mount from a GoPro camera placed over the dent it came straight out. barely noticeable now.

Not suggesting you have a go yourself. Your car is probably newer and worth more than my wife's. Just thought I'd share as its caught my attention. Still no idea how that area of a car gets dented?

Good point - there are a few 'life hack' things you could try prior to bring it to a Pro, if perfection isnt what you need to achieve - YouTube 'DIY dent removal' or whatever and you'll see plenty that might be worth trying! ;)

I think I got the idea of trying the GoPro suction mount from an episode of Mighty Car Mods or another YouTube channel. Its extremely strong and perfect for the job. I tried to push it out from behind at first but couldn't get to it due to the internal bracing in the way.

+1 for DentPro. Used them a few times and they either completely remove the dent or it'll be 99% fixed - a big improvement on what you have regardless.
