Trying to stay in Ireland

    Hey everyone,

First time posting on here, hoping someone can help me with my situation.

I am Canadian, and I am currently a third year dental student at UCC, in Cork, and will be entering my 4th year in August 2016. I love studying and living in Ireland, everyone is always so friendly, and I've really enjoyed seeing the 40 different shades of green.

In my second year, my girlfriend, who is also Canadian, came to Ireland on a 2-year Work Holiday Authorization (WHA). Right away she found employment at a local restaurant, and has really enjoyed her time here. Unfortunately, her WHA expires in September 2016. She has inquired about getting the WHA extended, and been told that WHAs cannot be extended. She has looked into getting a work permit, but was informed that also is not possible because of her employment in a fast food restaurant.

I'm wondering if anyone can help us figure out a way for her to remain in Ireland, and be able to continue to work, until my graduation date of 2018?

Thank you so much for your time!

    Hide?

Get a visa for the UK and drive back over the 'border'?

Can she not apply again if she leaves for 3+ or 6+ months or something like that?
