    hi there, Purchased Bridemaid dress off shelf but need some alterations - mainly with length to get it taken up. Any recommendations for good seemstress in Stillorgan area ? Much appreciated !

    Studio 54 in Blackrock are pretty well established.

    There's one upstairs above the Spar shop beside the Mill House. (Other end of the block from the pub)

    They did a decent job shortening a trousers for my husband.

    On the other hand, the one on The Hill (one of the cottages, near Bolands) did NOT do a good job of shortening a skirt for my daughter.

    But as @mailforkey said, Studio 54 in Blackrock is known to be professional and expert. Just round the corner from Main St, in Bath Place on the way down to the station. You have to ring a doorbell and go down the stairs - its not very obvious.
