Hi! I am looking into studying Primary school Teaching, and I wanted to know from students of Hibernia College if they have experienced any snobbery from primary schools in regard to the college being part-time and some classes being online? :)

I'm currently studying the PME Primary and it is most definitely a full-time course. The only difference is that you can choose when to study the sessions online. There are scheduled webinars and onsites however.
One tip if you are applying though, try and get into the September cohort. It finishes within a much shorter timeframe than the March one.

But to answer your initial question, any schools I have been in contact with are very accepting of Hibernia students. They know that it is not a part-time course :)

    Have a look at :

And just to say that not all schools view Hibernia in the same light as the other colleges.

I was just going from my own experience to date and that of friends who qualified with Hibernia (some of which are now in Principal roles). Quite possible that some others have a different story. I suppose it depends on the experiences the school has had with Hibernia students.
