Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all:

Can please someone point me to some information on how to create video backgrounds? For example, what you see when you visit paypal.com on a desktop.

    Is it HTML5 at work?

Using Chrome, you can use the "Inspect Element" feature.

    Here's what I found...

I experimented with this for a client but we ended up going with a static photo in the end.

The video is often webm format, which seems to run about 40% of the size of an equivalent mp4. It wasn't easy to create the webm, the converters often produced a broken file format.

It's nice but I'd only use it on a site homepage where there are a limited number of simple actions that can be taken (i.e. login or register).

Appreciate the quick and informative replies, guys!

I had an idea for using this for an internal page here at work to give it more life. True it would get annoying on a page other than login or register.

    Thanks again!
