Some absolute plonker emblazoned from head to toe in Boards.ie branded cycling gear was seen yesterday at about 7.30pm cycling down passed the Old Bawn shopping centre and then continuing down the Firhouse Rd where he proceeded to blatantly cycle straight through 2 red lights at major junctions with not a care in the world.

Cyclists complain about how they're treated by drivers and thats fair enough in some cases but here is a text book example of a cyclist not giving two ****s about the rules of the road. I didn't know Boards.ie did branded cycling gear and even more surprised that people would actually wear it in public so he shouldn't be too difficult to identify.

OP - you played your hand very poorly there by giving away too much information. No one's going to admit to it now. You should have laid the trap first and then pounced!

(...and no, it wasn't myself before anyone asks! :D)

what is so surprising about someone wearing branded gear in public?

I'm trying to figure out why would anyone want to single anyone else out. If you had an issue report it to the cops and it'd be their job to find the culprit. Cycling through junctions red lights would only result in the death of the cyclist. If a car does it then everyone is fair game to be killed. It might surprise you that there are idiots on bikes, trikes, motorbikes, cars, vans, buses, trucks and even in Boards gear!

PS. I'm not defending the cyclist.

Mod Note: it's against boards.ie charter to identify people in real life from here.
It's also against this forum's charter to come in here only to rail against cyclists.
Please read both charters before posting in here again OP.

    Any questions pm me.
