I've only just finished fixing the mess Apple Music made of my collection. Loads of mismatches and tracks that just vanished. Took me months to sort out. I'll never put another music file in iTunes again. It's a bargain alright, but be warned if you've got obscure or rare tracks in your collection.

To add to above, dont bother if you have an android phone too, their app (which is still in beta) is terrible.

I have an S6 and the UI is terrible and slow to navigate.

Stick to Google Music or Spotify.

iCloud Music Library is a mess alright. But you don't have to use it. You can just use Apple Music if you want. See here. There are still some limitations but Apple will probably address in time since the iCloud Music Library problems aren't going away any time soon.

There's a revamp of the interface due to be announced at WWDC next month which will hopefully bring some improvements. Although if you are on Android you are probably better off with Google Play.

There was an iTunes update during the week that prevents the issue mentioned above so all should be well now. I held off on getting Apple Music as a result but signed up earlier with this deal.

I'm not so sure. Apple have admitted that they haven't be able to re-create the data loss issue. No one has. There's been a lot of accusations among the user base that people are accidentally deleting local tracks without realising it. The mismatching of songs and some confusing alert dialogs may be contributing to this.

I don't really know tbh. Personally I haven't experienced any data loss. Mismatched tracks, messed-up artwork on secondary devices, tracks refusing to match/upload - sure, but no data loss.

Don't forget too that Spotify is a fiver a month through Vodafone. If you're not a Vodafone customer it's easy to pick up a PAYG SIM card, put a bit of credit on it and pay for Spotify through that.

    This.

Spotify is a far better service IMO.
