Really liked this guys stuff. Sad to see him go. He was a great performer. But often others (a country who's who really) took his songs and did a great job with them. He featured quite a bit in that great documentary Heartworn Highways. Gifted with his hands too as a carpenter. You see him fixing guitars in the documentary.

A damn shame. Such a great songwriter who seemed to help other songwriters, like Steve Earle.

Dublin Blues is probably my favourite song of his.
