    Hi all,

I am buying 20 350kg heifers in Birr co Offaly and need to get them dropped to Roosky co Leitrim.

whats the best approach ie wait for a backload or send someone down from home to collect them.

And also any idea of the cost.

    Thanks

Got a similar load the same distance not so long ago. 300 was the cost or 12 a head. He went back with an empty load.

I can ask a couple of lads with lorries I know down that direction, they wouldn't normally be heading west this time of year for sales though as the marts are too small. You might get lucky though!

Could be someone killing cattle in Roscrea or Nenagh from your area. But it won't be any cheaper than €10 a head I reckon.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Thats would be grand ....You would be wasting your time with a jeep and box at 10 euro a head
