On the efibre availability website it states that my home will be upgraded within 6 weeks, it's been saying this for the past 3 months and also have a date, 11th May, in which it just went back to "within 6 weeks". The thing is that I am 2.5km away from my exchange, the people that live close to the exchange already have fibre recently installed but people around it (6+km radius) have the same "within 6 weeks" message. As it's such a large exchange area, does this mean that eir will be installing fibre cabinets around the exchange area or will nothing actually happen and still get ridiculously slow speeds?

    Hi Jovisker,

    Thanks for getting in touch.
You would need to be within 2KM's of an active cabinet to avail of the (FTTC) efibre to the cabinet service.
You can view planned cabinet locations on this map here http://fibrerollout.ie/where-and-when/
