Myself and a friend of mine are currently applying for jobs and he was thinking about both of us going into the premesis' and literally handing in applications at the same exact time, would this turn potential employers off or? What's your thoughts?

In my opinion, doing this says neither of ye can think for yourselves. Wouldn't recommend it.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious but what advantage does your friend see in going in together?

Depending on the job it probably will have no baring one way or the other at all. In most workplaces the person you will hand the application to will not be the hiring manager or a HR person but probably a receptionist. They'll just hand them on.

If it is the person who's doing the hiring then they might think it's a bit weird and it could reduce both of your chances.

Just go in an hour apart. Then it won't look weird and in all likelihood your applications will be handed to the relevant person at exactly the same time.

uncomplicated it, one walks in, and when he walks out, the other one does the same..
To the employer its simply a coincidence.. :)

dont go together, im assuming your young, going into shops and bars etc.

id think it was a bit weird that you couldnt do it alone.

go together but dont go into the shops together, leave it a while before the other goes in etc.

make sure you are suited and booted as well.

Do you have any idea how many shops/pubs have CCTV looking at their doors?

Sometimes the staff know who's coming in well before they've arrived. In small businesses, often enough the manager/owner has it set up so s/he can see it on the smartphone too.

OP, by all means to the area together for moral support. But go in individually and don't be waiting for each other right outside.
