I've a campy 11-25 and really want a 12-25 11-speed casette. Anyone have an 12-25 to sell or swap ?

My 11-25 is Athena, I think, but I suspect the Athena -> Chorus are very similar.

Could be an option, if you're looking for an 11-25. I'm probably happy to buy a new 12-25 and let the other one go for €55 - it's got about 500 miles on it.

Thanks for the offer, and I don't to be seen to lowball you but I can get a new campag 11 (12-25) speed cassette for €85 on Evans (see attached) so on the basis I will offer €40 which is roughly 50% of the new value - to be honest for that money I will probably go for the new one, but as above will do €40 for yours if you can go there. Cash waiting with bonus that you know where you can get the 12-25 you are looking for at a great price.

    (Offer subject to inspection BTW)

Just to point out that the cassette that the op has for sale (11-25) is €104.39 on evans

Thank for pointing that out - I was merely outlining an option for the OP

I don't need an 11 cog, if my offer is not acceptable, I'll probably just order a brand new new 12-25 myself for €85 - once I have a 25 my legs will be happy

How many miles on your 11/25?

Pretty sure I have a 12/25 for you, either way.

Whilst Campy have Athena 11 group sets, I haven't seen an Athena 11 cassette..they are either Chorus or Veloce at that part of their range.

    I'll check this evening.

    Thanks Kebel and ckeego........

Indeed I don't understand why the 11-25 is more expensive - was quoted €150 for an 11-25 (€120 for a 12-25) in a Dublin bike shop. Also, €20 price difference on Wiggle.........

I got the block with an Athena group, so it's probably Athena (though maybe not possible to buy separate) or Chorus.

About 500 miles on the block, so would be delighted to exchange for a similar 12-25, if there's one going....

One thing I don't have is a tool to take the block off - any thoughts?

    Hi OP,

Not sure why the "11" is dearer but it's been that way as long as I can remember - personally I suspect it is merely case of supply and demand, indeed some might say corporate greed, but that's one for a different forum.

It's possibly down to the fact that the guys who race tend to prefer an 11 for when the pace goes silly, combined with the fact that Campag is little on the rare side for whatever reason, so consumers have less options for shopping around.

Either way as much as I would prefer to buy locally, on-line is almost always a better option than a B&M shop for such purchases.

In relation to removing the cassette, I have the relevant tools, so if we were to agree a deal of some sort I can do the necessary, provided the geography works.

Kebel, have ordered a new 12-25, so 11-25 is available, if you're still keen.........

    @ PinoMan

If that is you accepting my original offer of €40, (subject to inspection) then we have a deal.

PM me contact info, and suitable time to make contact and we can arrange payment / exchange etc.

OK Kebel, will go with €40 if you're happy to do the removal and replacement of the casette on my wheel!

Will take a few days to get the new cassette, so will pm you when it arrives.

    Thanks.

    PinoMan

Happy to do that, it's a very modest / quick job, once one has the correct tools, which I do.

Only, possible issue is your location? Traveling the length of Ireland probably wouldnt make sense for either of us! With that in mind can you give me a rough idea of your location?

    Otherwise, no major panic timewise.

Dublin South side - Terenure ?

That's perfect, I'm over and back across the m50 a couple of times a week, so can meet you somewhere like Spawell, or maybe even in or around Terenure, depending on my movements work wise.

In that case, we have a deal. I'll PM you contact information to arrange a meeting once you get the new cassette. No major hurry here.
