    Hi
My mother in law is staying with us at the moment and struggles with the stairs. She has had 1 hip operation and will need the other hip done also. She cant really manage in her house anymore but still loves her independence.

Long term we were thinking of putting in a side extension with a bedroom and downstairs toilet. I don t know whether this will happen but im wondering if we are we entitled to any grants?

    Thanks in advance.

Check with your local authority. There are grants for these.
