    Does anyone know if I could get a grant on this scheme that will go towards car? I started a business as an artist and feel that a car would be of great advantage to transport work etc.? I'm finding it quite hard starting up on this scheme , but must keep positive and put all effort in!

    Some items are not eligible for grant support under the ESG. These include:
    • Building/premises rental costs
    • Cost of travel
    • Insurance (except public liability)
    • Personal clothing and uniforms (except protective clothing)
    • Professional development programmes arranged by professional and regulatory bodies
    • Purchase of any type of vehicle
    • Stock-in-trade
    • Training or education other than that specified
    Utility costs, connection or supply and local authority rates

    No grant agency funds towards a vehicle.

    Best to use the grant for eligible items and buy a cheap run around.
