sprayed round up on field today that I am putting wild bird stuff in for Glas. I am taking a cut of bales of silage first and then will be tilling it after. How long should I leave it?

Doesn't the tilling and sowing for the wild bird cover have to be done for the 31st May? Or am I reading your post wrong:confused:

I think its 5 or 6 days, others please verify.
    24 hour wilt.
That still leaves time to till and set by end of the month.

This time of year 6-7 days would be fine, low growth looking 12-14.

    7 days.

What happens if the weather isn't suitable for cutting after the 7 days? How much longer could you leave it without cutting?

The grass is just dying at that point, no poison risk.
Its wilting and still stuck to the ground.
Any weather window after the 7 days, cut and draw as soon you have to.

Don't know! Always got the opportunity to cut after 7 days.

I'm old school and cannot get my head around why one would spray grass land with a herbicide to cut and ensile it as a feed source. The practice doesn't sit right in my mind.

I suppose the practice is to minimise the waste of grass. I don't know if much is to be gained from the practice. I saw grassland skint with sheep tighter than any mower burnt off pretty well in about a week same as is being recommended cutting silage.
