Our house builder requires us to seal the areas around the showers and bath and behind wash hand basins before tiling (so the process is tape and joint the boards, apply acrylic bonding, apply permanent sealant in 2 coats using special rubberised tape in the corners and around pipework and then tile adhesive, tiles and grout. The bonding, sealant and tile adhesive must be from the same manufacturers "system" to ensure compatibility. Products from the BASF subsidiary PCI are recommended. The foreman on our build said he would seal the whole floor and all skirtings in addition.

What are you guys doing here?

    Had to smile at this:
The bonding, sealant and tile adhesive must be from the same manufacturers "system" to ensure compatibility

And then they wonder about Brit-exit...
Anyway I guess you mean behind the wall tiles and under the floor tiles.
Fibreglass is what I have seen mostly, I suspect Angela's system is more flexible

I mean are you seeing the whole bathroom floor being done or just the area around bath, shower etc?
