Shower with low pressure and only cold water??

Yesterday we used a power washer to clean the garden (connected to a mixer tap in the kitchen). After a few minutes I noticed the overflow pipe near the roof had water coming out of it. Went to turn off the tap and realised we had turned the hot tap on by mistake also. Turned it off immediately and the water stopped dripping from the overflow pipe within about half and hour.

This morning I went to use our electric shower in the upstairs bathroom and there is very low pressure and only cold water coming out.
The water is working fine everywhere else in the house.

Anyone any idea could these be connected or what could be causing this and how to fix the problem?

    Thanks in advance.

By leaving the hot and cold on you backfilled the attic tank. each time you stopped using the power washer you sent cold mains water up the hot pipe all the way to the tank.

Your electric shower doesn't take water from the hot pipe so its unlikely that the mains pressure has been able to damage it.

What is the make and model of the shower?

It's likely the motor is on the way out or possibly the carbon brushes.

On the off chance that its an airlock follow the link below for the triton t90si user manual. It shows you how to commission the pump / purge it of air. Remember to turn the power off first at the pull cord switch first. You are order carbon brushes from the same site if you need them
