    Hi ladies

I'm about to order my dress, but it come in different lengths 55 or 58inch, so I don't know which length

I don't want to be altering dress too much as it has a lace hem,
It is fit and flare dress
    My height is 158cm
Hollow to hem without heel: 52inches (with tape slack)
Hollow to hem with 3half inch heels: 55inches is about 1cm off ground

Would light to wear 3- 3half inch heels.

Which do u reccommend? or have any of u had a 55inch wedding dress ?

    Thanks for advice.

If you're getting from a boutique I'm sure they could advise you. Even with a lace trim, I think a good seem stress carefully removes and then resews it back on. Though I guess it takes time so adds to cost. Before I got my dress I went to a good see stress who I plan to use for my alterations. I showed them dresses I was interested in online and they talked me through what I needed to know and decide before I bought it. I bought off eBay though, not a boutique. So I had an idea of alterations needed and estimated cost before I got the dress.
I guess check with boutique for advice, or chat with a dressmaker for Advice and idea of what's possible and estimated cost?

I had a tea-length wedding dress. They shortened it for me on order, however it still arrived too long and I had to take another 4 inches off it. there was a lovely lace panel and the seamstress was able to shorten and reattach the lace. It did cost a pretty penny though.. but I'd probably have had to had buttons on back fixed up anyway..
