    Hi all,

Apologies if in the wrong place - I don't post much as you'll gather.

Looking for decent suitcases/travel cases (large preferable) at decent prices.

Anyone seen any good deals recently in/around Dublin?

    Thanks in advance
    Cont.

I'm of the opinion that it's worth investing in suitcases/luggage. I fly very regularly and I have a 6 year old Samsonite cabin-sized spinner case that has served me very well. I have a larger Samsonite spinner that I use for trips of 2+ weeks, so it's less used, but very light and durable. Samsonite obviously isn't cheap, but you can get decent prices at their outlet store in Kildare Village.

Debenhams usually have some form of deal going on their Tripp luggage also.

I ended up flying into Lidl in the end, two cases for €70 cant go wrong.

    Have a good one.

In all fairness, these cases aren't going to get excessive usage.

I got a cheap suitcase in Walmarts years ago for return trip for Disneyland Florida and it only broke on me recently after > 10 years of use. Cheap doesn't mean it'll be crap. Obviously how it's treated at airports will probably have a greater bearing on its longevity. Got 7 years out of another suitcase got in NY at one of those cheap "Made in China" knock off stores.

Having said that, this time I actually dropped a decent amount on a wheeled split duffel bag and hope it lasts at least as long as the others have.
