Hi there, looking for some help regards a 2003 model. I'm trying to replace the factory head unit. Bought a kenwood today in halfords and the wiring loom. However when i got home i realised i didn't need the iso looom. I went back taking the connectors off the back of the factory unit.

However when i plugged in the new kenwood model it keeps telling me miswiring, check all conenctions and turn on again...ive checked all wires and there's nothing loose. So i decided to put back the old head unit and now there's no sound coming out of the speakers. There is a stray loose wire that came out of a connector...i thought this wire was belonging to the steering wheel controls and stupidly pulled off the connector to pair it with a wire form new head unit...obviously didn't work. Now i don't know where i pulled the wire from.

I will attach photos and any help appreciated.

See connection 7 on the middle loom, that looks like it should have 2 cables going into it. Does that ring a bell? Your white cable might supposed to go there?

See in this pic. Not 100% if they're 100% the same.

I can see the cable im on about wrapped around the black connector. you can see the head of it poking out. it must be for something else and thats why i couldnt see where it goes in. But i still can't get sound. I recently changed the body control module, i wonder is it anything to do with it.
