    Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a 4k Smart TV, with the emphasis on quality of picture as I will be using it for sports & movies.  Not a lot of gaming.
Size doesn't matter, and, although 55" would ideally be the max, if the best quality picture is that size then I'd go with that.
Budget would be anything up to €1,500 but, again, if paying slightly more would get better quality then I'd happily go with that.
I know from doing research that Sony have the best Android OS, but have read that LG are better on quality.  Would be interested in your thoughts & recommendations.
    TIA
    JT

Android is great.... but you have to love it!

I'm not entirely convinced on the LG is better on quality statement, to be fair both Sony AND LG have some stand-out sets this season .

For €1500 you are close to the LG 55UH661V which is the brand new 4K ultra HD HDR from LG:

..but if you were clever and played the currency game - the LG 55UH750 is only an additional £50 GBP at £1199 so if you work your currencies - you will see purchasing that in GBP will bring it in close to €1550 which is a real buy compared to the Euro price and its a fantastic spec with WEBOS 3.0 - have a look here:

And of course the above prices include our 6 year warranty!

If you wanted to go Sony and pure Android ( which I personally love) there is no 55" really in your price target range available at the moment unless you step up to the stunning KD55XD8599 which has just come down to €1749 - its a pretty amazing piece of kit and its just had €200 lopped off the price yesterday..

If you were interested in Samsung - the brand new Curved UE55KU6500 is also great value at €1499 - have a look here:

Hopefully that will give you some food for thought, but don't hesitate to drop me a line if we can assist or of course if you would like to order :)

    Thanks again,
