How to say thanks

Hi
Im coming to the end of a French language course. I have done it on a broken leg and was having intense panic attacks everyday due to a lack of freedom .. unable to take part in the sports etc The turning point came with a school trip. The teacher who was with us was very patient and understanding. I found myself really enjoying the day with my classmates.. felt no longer on the sidelines. Ever since day by day I gradually got a better grip on the attacks. Is there any way to meaningfully thank this co ordinator before we finish up ? Without embarrassing myself ?

If you want to thank an adult, say "Thank you for...". There is no need for song/dance; gift vouchers; touching moment...

Is your teacher similar in any way to Serge Gainsbourg? He was a very sexyful French man. You could pretend you are Jane Birken and perhaps whisper in his ear 'tu es la vague, moi l'íle nue'
