I have a DS lite and I believe it got some kind of water damage a few years ago.
It's been lying around doing nothing since.
I was thinking of getting it repaired.
The top and bottom screen have white lines on them.
Apart from that it works fine.
How much would it cost to get it repaired do ye reckon?
Would it be worth getting it repaired?

Nah. Buy a secondhand one off Ebay or the likes. Probably wouldn't be cost beneficial getting it repaired. You should be able to pick one up cheap no bothers.

yeah, you can buy all sorts of spares for the various components but you can't replace the main board, which is where all the mineral-bearing water dried up. You could spend a fair amount of time, money and effort replacing the extremities with inferior parts (replacement touch screens and LCDs are just never as good as the ninty originals, and unless you know exactly what you need or are prepared to take weeks between attempts at fixing to only order the parts you think you need, it'll get expensive) or, like Sligeach said, get a 2nd hand working one for peanuts. DS lites are common as muck and no one wants them any more. Befriend someone who was in their 60s about 10 years ago, they probably don't play Brain Training as much as they used to and would be delighted if you'd take it off hteir hands in exchange for a conversation and some home heating oil.
