So I just sold my a6 in Ireland and am in the uk for the next while and gong to buy here. Do I NEED a car..,probably not.... But I deffo want one and with the few bob I got on the sale can get some pretty tasty options. So i like my tech and an automatic, so fairly recent something...also wouldn't mind a 3l engine or similar with a bit of grunt. Toying with a merc e350 and an a5 Quattro, the bmws just seem a little dated inside? Am I missing another good option?

My brother bought an E350 AMG spec estate last week over there. Says it's the best car he's ever driven.

Maybe it's a personal thing but I found the interior of the E Class that has recently been replaced by a new model, to be very dated. It's like as if they designed it with a ruler and crammed it with small fiddly buttons.

What a CLS or A7 instead?

Love the a7 and found an amazing model but it's about 3cm wider than the a6 and that was tight enough round the city and where I live anyway. I'm going to car giant this morning will take a look at some cls's tks

So was over in car giant. Cls is a meh..shape is dated now. A7 definitely top of chain, 25k for a 313hp 2012 Quattro model... But the width means a no. :(

Merc e220 coupe new model is moving up ranks, anyone got experience of these?

Also late contender of Jaguar XF!!!!!

    Bi turbo? Gorgeous cars.

They don't have a biturbo...IT Șold before I got a sniff. But a 3l 204 with the wood inlay as opposed to the silver inlay. Beautiful inside and out. I decided that for 3cm diff in width if someone is going to be careless it will make no odds..

Try and go for the more powerful versions, the A7 is a heavy car especially with Quattro and V6 Tdi block.

well its the 204 quattro. the bitdi is just too damn much for me to justify..... :(
