Dublin. Sky have 2 weeks unpaid training and also monthly wages. Be along time before I get any wages. I will have to relocate to Dublin so 9/10 wks without any money will cause problems

I've never had any issues with Swissport anyway, basing it off both handlers in Shannon you will be much busier with Swissport than with sky handling who have 1 flight a day which is a cargo. They have a few passenger flights during the summer but nothing compared to what Swissport will handle.

Swissport not so good, 15 people started a training course and by lunchtime only 2 came back lol, unfortunately the airport runs 24/7 so yeah u will always be required to work unsocial hours, (I know that of 1 shift that starts at 2am), the upside is there is plenty of work and no sign of it slowling down. Be prepared to work 12 hour shifts etc.

Sky handling have less customers but are still busy and do seem to be better out of the 2 in my opinion. Make sure you read contracts etc and understand the nature of shifts etc.

But once you have a airside pass you can move around more freely in the airport operations.

    Just my opinion

As with all jobs some you will get on with management and others you wont. I know people in swissport who love their job and.

Also all training you get in swissport is paid for the hours your in training.
Also during training you must pass all the exams before you go live, so if you fail the resit in the exam thats it game over.
