Installing laminate around stairs?

hello folks, the concrete screed is in and I will be laying 7 mm laminate on top. The stairs is a smaller than usual as its a very old house, and is a simple straight flight. Is the stairs simply left on the screed or should a 10mm hardwood board be placed under it? Advice regarding stair base on how to proceed would be…
