Medical card - told it has expired

    Hey,

    Just wondering has anyone else had any issue regarding their medical card running out earlier than it's supposed to. My boyfriend got a call from the dentist earlier today and was told that his has expired, even though it's not supposed to for another 14 months, and that he'll have to pay for the fillings he got recently.

    I've had this issue before too where I wasn't able to get medication I needed because my card had run out even though the expiry wasn't for another few months. I had to start the application from scratch and they weren't very helpful, so was without a medical card for several months.

    When you rang medical cards and asked them why your medical card had been cancelled, what did they say
