the jag and Volvo are a little on the small side. sort of Corolla sized.

    Thanks colm_mcm.
    Hadn't considered that.
What would you think of an Accord?

I quite like the Accord, I drive a Civic so maybe that explains it. I do think the older type ones like that one feel a bit dated inside, and there are so many bad ones out there. There are a small few issues on them that could work out costing you a good bit to put right.

Despite being a little small, the Volvo is very comfortable and any ones I've driven have had really supportive seats.

I don't think the tax entered is correct, unless thats for 3 or 6 months. I know that the Honda is around 1'100 euros a year to tax as it has 2.2l

    Thanks!
One of my friends had a Volvo, he loved it until he blew the engine, then again he didn't service it in a few years.

assuming the cars have say 100k miles on them now, when you go to sell in 2-3 years, you will be giving it away due to age and mileage. Id consider going older, getting better car up to 2L...

I think the accords are lovely and well specced, the tax on that is E390 a year...

    Renault Laguna III:

French cars are usually very comfortable and the Laguna III is a reliable car. 2.0 litre would be the prefered choice but they are rare.

Yeah that's the dilemma I'm in at the moment.
Don't want to spend to much on something Ill end up having to basically scrap cause it will be worth so little in 3 years.

I don't think post 08s will fare as bad TBH. even in a few years you'll still have people wanting stuff like diesel Accords, test one isn't overly dear so how much will you realistically lose?

I am liking those Accords, seems to be a few around which are not mad money.
Suppose losing a few thousand for 75k miles isnt bad going.
Ill have to keep an eye out for one with ok mileage.

The problem is a lot of them are clocked, some need timing chains or clutch/flywheels

Is always going to be a risk buying something.
If I could get something with a service history it would be a massive help.
