Hi, Myself and my wife are hoping to get away for 2 weeks at the start of August and Dominican Republic seems like a good spot. Our budget is 5K incl flights (can go a little higher if necessary). We're looking for an all inclusive resort, big pools, nice restaurants, water activities - kayaking, wind surfing, snorkelling…

Hi,

Myself and my wife are hoping to get away for 2 weeks at the start of August and Dominican Republic seems like a good spot. Our budget is 5K incl flights (can go a little higher if necessary).

We're looking for an all inclusive resort, big pools, nice restaurants, water activities - kayaking, wind surfing, snorkelling etc, 5* (if possible?).

We went on an all inclusive holiday years ago to Cancun when we were younger and the food and alcohol was really generic (to be fair the entire trip cost €2K) but we have fears of this happening.

Can anyone recommend a good resort? We're not looking to go partying. We've also heard that Dominican Republic is great in terms of value for money.
