Did anybody hear or see any information of any road schemes getting planned or pushed forword in the programme for Government announced today?

No, but I sincerely hope it included the badly needed M20 scheme - or at least it's phased delivery.

N4 Sligo upgrade also needed as is N21 and N24.

No mention of the M20 in the PfG, just grandiose statements about further investment in roads and the capital budget increasing by something like 50% over the next five years.

TEN-T gets a mention, so basically some bit of work will be seen to be done on the N4, N5, N17, N20, N21 & N25.

Atlantic Corridor gets a mention too as demanded by the east Galway TD (can't remember his name for the life of me)

There is a plan to develop three schemes in Donegal as part of the Ten T Network

    N15 Balybofey to Straorlar (9km)
N56/N14 Letterkenny to Manorcunningham (5km, Mix of Dual C'wayand Single C'way)
    N4 Manorcunningham to Lifford (19km Dual C'way)

Consultants to be appointed this year

The key to it all is to get the N20 reclassified as a TEN-T route. Then it will be much more of a priority than it is now.

The N20 Corridor is already in the TEN-T comprehensive network, like the N13/N14/N15 routes outlined above by annfield1978.

Great find! That's fantastic news that it's part of TEN-T. We should be able to get some EU money for it to be upgraded as well? Maybe I will be driving on a motorway to Limerick before I'm 40 after all (I'm 27 at the moment)....
