Finishing VTOS procedure?

Finishing 2 year VTOS course and wondering what the process is for returning to JSA.

I've had a few internship interviews so far, and have two more this week so hoping it won't come to having to sign on again, but just wondering if anyone knows if its a simple process of being switched back over to JSA (doubt it!) or will I have to submit new claim and wait for means tests etc?

    Thanks for any help/info!

It is a straightforward process. Inform them in person on the first working day after you finish VTOS (VTOS will give you a letter saying you have completed course) and you can reinstate your claim and you will be restored to prior payment through post office and given next sign-on date etc. If your circumstances have changed the means test will be carried out after your payment has been reinstated.

    Hi,

I went to make an appointment to see social welfare as my final VTOS payment is this Friday, and I was given an appointment for next week. The girl didn't even look at my letter but said I have to make a new claim even though I was told by college that I would just have to show letter about course being finished and my claim would be re-instated. Does this sound right to anyone? I'll be stuck without money for ages now as the stack of forms I was given includes a mean test one.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks.
