    Hi all..

So Ive been in a car accident. Not my fault and the other party is taking responsibility.
I was driving my sisters car, which im insured to drive as i have third party extension on my own policy, which allows me to drive any other motor car, so long as its not in my name and i have permission from the owner, which i had.
My own car, which i have a policy on, is currently parked up and had been at the time of the accident which is why i was using her car..now my question is...my own car thats parked up has no nct on it..will this affect my claim in anyway.?

Also, my insurance company and the other parties are the same - is this a good or a bad thing.?

    Thanks for any help..Much appreciated..
    Bob

Sure your insurance company would be the people to ask?

    Of course you are covered.

Lack of NCT on your own car is completely irrelevant as you weren't even driving it during the accident.

Also as it was other persons fault, it will be their policy paying for your damage, so your insurance is irrelevant.
Even if you were uninsured (didn't have policy at all), you'd still be entitled to compensation from that person's insurer as it's him/her who caused accident.
