Water Grant 2016

    Dear Irish Water,

    I received my latest bill however there are no indication when would be the 100e grant available? Could you please inform me.

    Thanks for contacting us.

    The Water Conservation Grant is administered by the Department of Social Protection and grant payments are not reflected on your Irish Water bill. See here for more details.

    As Amy said, it's the Dept of Social Protection who administer the grant....contact them.

    Please don't build up false hopes. Details of the 2016 may not be announced in due course.

    Legislation does not exist to repeat the payment of the 2015 Water Conservation Grant.


    Minister Alan Kelly neglected to make the necessary arrangements to make the yearly grant yearly when legislating for the initial grant which was payable for 2015 alone.

    I don't think we can expect Irish Water to second guess the people who are in charge of the Grant.
