Help needed in looking for a New Car

    Hey All,

My car got burned out last week and so i am forced onto the market for a new for me car. My Budget is 10G but would prefer to spend less. I drive mostly at the weekends with the odd trip to the shops/golf course during the week so my milage would be low which would put me into Petrol category.
Other considerations - I have a bad back so comfort is important. I will be doing about 10km per year so economy is not a huge problem. I would like it to qualify for lower road tax and for it to be new enough to get 2 year NCT certs. So that would be a 2009-2010 ish type range.

So far I have narrowed my search to

Qashqui - expensive but looks comfortable. There are alot on the road so that suggests they are a good car

Astra - cheaper than above, maybe some reliability issues?

Focus - not hugely enamoured by the aesthetics of the age range I woudl be looking at

Would be very interested if people had opinions about what I am looking at and why and also if there are other cars which I should be considering. My Girlfriend isn't a fan of saloon style cars so looking primarily at hatchbacks
