Fuel pump problem Polo

    hi when I drive my car there's no power in it when I hit the pedal. When I turn on the ignition I can hear a gurgling sound not normal for that
    anyone know the problem its 97 vw polo 1l thanks

    Why do you suggest fuel pump? I would think a failed pump would cause the car not to start at all. The gurgling could be anything, I mean I guess it could be in the fuel tank. Hard to know given the little info we have.

    theres no sound at all out of the fuel pump but the car is starting and it cuts out after 10 15 seconds
