Well lads, I've recently bought an A4, and want it to BOOO. Few friends just said get a straight through exhaust, but I YouTubed it and 99% of the videos of A4's with straight pipes don't BOOO. What can I do/get to make her BOOO? Thanks

I think OP is referring to the "cool" noise that the young bucks get out their TDI's by fitting dump valves or something like that.

"Give her shoe and make her BOOO" and so on... :D

We were all young once.... I clipped a piece of cardboard into the spokes of my bike with a clothes peg and it made a "cool" noise. Modern day equivalent seems to be a plastic bottle wedged between back wheel and frame... more speed more noise!

Don't modify car. It will impact your insurance.

    Is this the sound?

Neighbour of mine had a nice Audi A4, he went and "Felt" it.

(Far as i know it comes from Magherafelt - bored Farmers Sons fitted bodykits, straight thru exhausts to any TDI VAG car they had)

Jesus there was some sound as it rattled around and we were all blessed with the sound of a large pigeon "Chooooo" when ever he drove by and changed gear!

    Dont do it!

If it doesn't have a turbo no chance.
    Booooooo
    Or
    Chooooo

OP, most proper car enthusiasts I know (most of them compete in some form of Motorsport) generally just laugh at the felt Spec VAG and call the TDi dump valves "pigeon valves" due to the "coo" noise they make.

If it's the horrid exhaust noise they make that you want, you need to find a hatchet and use it to remove the 'boxes In the exhaust.

Personally I wouldn't waste my time. It's not for performance, you'll have to tell the insurance company and you are just following the crowd. Be your own person and do things differently by keeping it nice, clean and all o/e. It's also cheaper.

Adding a blow off valve can freak out the cars computer so you may need a remap as some vw engines recirculate the air being dumped by the turbo after you close the throttle.
the addition a blow of valve will release this air out of the car instead of recirculating it which will result in poor performance potential to stall and misfires seeing as the air fuel ratio will be way off as you have just dumped a bunch of air that has been registered by the MAF.
just get a cd with the booo noises and put it into the radio, turn it up and keep the windows down much cheaper and when you get fed up of that boo noise after a week or so you can bin the cd and pretend this never happened :)
what engine is in it out of curiosity?

They're called pigeon pipes, they sound utterly ridiculous.

OP you should do it to your car and then drive around like a twat changing gear unnecessarily in order to make your car sound like a pigeon...that's what all the rest of the 'mentally challenged' people that have them on their cars do. You'll be so cool then, people will look at you as you drive by, roll their eyes to heaven and declare what a knob the driver of that car must really be.

Post a video of your car when you get it done.
