Defro solid fuel boiler

    Hi
Query for someone I know. They live in a 1300 sq ft house built in the 1970s. It has 13 rads. The house is currently heated by a boiler stove which uses about 3 bags of coal a week. The person is at home most of the day so it is probably run for most of the day. The big problem is for the money the house isn't overly warm.
A few people have mentioned getting in a Defro solid fuel boiler. Have a few questions for anyone in the know.
Do they provide more heat then stoves?
How often would the manual feed defro boilers need to be filled? Is it once per day or a number of times during the day.
Can they be installed in the house?
How long does it take for the radiators to heat after its been lit?
And are they a good system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi it's probably a bit late but I installed 25kw Defro duo auto igniter. I had a pellet boiler for 12 years and needed a replacement. When boiler is run on pellets it burns back into hopper, it set fire to all pellets in hopper a few times so I had to shut down. Supplier I bought it from in Kilkenny tried repair it twice but no joy. I'm now with out a boiler for 8 weeks with supplier refusing to refund money. (Under warranty)👎🏽
